the hindu archives Jawaharlal Nehru and Zhou En-lai in Beijing on October 19, 1954. Nehru ordered the withdrawal of 'all our world maps' a mere two months after the Panchsheel Agreement of April 29, 1954, and a few months before his visit to China. The McMahon Line was properly depicted as a clear line in the official map.

Two volumes that cover, among other things, a period of tension in India-China relations over the boundary issue and Nehru’s role in it. By A.G. NOORANI

Mr Noorani is in business of re-inventing history and picking only
those references from history that help him find fault with India and
and its leaders. When it comes to Kashmir, it is India's fault, and
when it comes border dispute with China, again it is India's fault. He
does not like India to exist as it does today. For him, it should be
either Islamic or Communist republic.
Moderator- I know you are part of this monkey business along with
Noorani..you guys at The Hindu very quickly feel challenged..read it
before delete it.

Who after Nehru was a question that was worrying everybody. Nobody realised that what he did was the most appropriate. Nehruji had his weakness. He overlooked the blunders committed by his close friends and defended them even when it was not in the national interest.Several dedicated Congress leaders left the organisation due to this attitude of this leader. His choice of defence minister, Mr.Krishna Menon was wrong. His giving a second chance to Krishnamachary was also wrong. This gave the impression that one can go wrong once, the second chance is sure.
I hope the present generation of leadership will learn the lessons and do a correct job in dealing with China and Pakistan
