Sandeep Saxena S.A.R.Geelani, Afzal Guru and Shaukat Hussain being produced at the Patiala House Courts in New Delhi in 2002 in connection with the Parliament House attack case.

The hanging of Afzal Guru is a complete disgrace to a democratic country. The prevalence of police officers in India who shamelessly torture, beat up, illegally detain, force confessions and extort money from people is deeply disturbing too. Excellent article, a real eyeopener.

Keep blaming Indian forces in J&K, without even caring about the most important fact that India alone can prevent TALIBANISATION of Kashmir. Many Indian soldiers have sacrificed their lives for this. But the separatists will never understand it.

The writer misuses an apt quote on the difference between justice and injustice. He essentially misses the point: in independent India even Godse's family was not given his body! If it was good then, it is good now too. Besides, Afzal Guru has been in prison for a good part of the decade and none of the prolific writers and intellectuals including the author could do nothing more than writing? The writer fails to be objective since he does not for certainty know if Afzal Guru at all was involved in the attack on Parliament.

"One would have thought that the dark hours of the night are reserved for the perpetration of dark deeds, not for the execution of lawful orders." This sentence says all about Afzal Guru Execution !

Everything Noorani writes ,we have to take it with a pinch of salt..we expect no objective analysis and reporting from him.Besides, let him be devil's advocate everytime, and let our agencies do their duties unhindered!!
