It was A.M.Raja who sang for Gemini Ganesh for a long time. The moment he became the Music Director himself the producers and directors had a reservation. It was at this time Srinivas came on the scene and this new voice was a combination of Raja and Ghantasala and admirably suited Gemini and the junior actors like A.V.M.Rajan and Muthuraman. Over the years Srinivas cultivated his voice to near perfection and he was the preferred choice after T.M.Soundararajan until S.P.Balasubramaniam came to challenge his supremacy.
